Email marketing is a strategy to make if you decide to market your product online. But sometimes, it looks and detected like a spam due to its number. It all started if you filled in or click a pop up menus in your screen and you agreed to receive notice or newsletter, from then on, every updates they have will sent you copy. Let’s be aware on the possibilities of our actions.

With the advancement of modern technology, people have been so much addicted in using computers, cell phones and other products of technology. Some people even engaged in businesses through online. It is really convenient but there are just times when you might be a victim of spam. Just be careful in the transactions that you make online. That is true. Good thing that we are enjoying the advantage of having modern technology to aid us with our jobs and businesses. But we also have to be careful at all times for we will never know when we are to be attacked and invaded with such malicious emails and spam.

But anyway, we are all much aware of these kinds of spam and mails. Good day to all.

I would say it's pretty obvious how to tell what is spam and what is not. If I receive something in my e-mail that I did not solicit, trying to sell me something, then it is spam, simple as that, even if it will enhance my by 4 inches. If on the other hand, I went to a web site and signed up for their newsletter and feed, then that's online marketing.

Yes, there is a distinction between email marketing and spamming. If you are sending a marketing material to willing recipients and if the contents of your email are all true, then that can be considered a legitimate email marketing. But if you send your marketing material to everybody without any regard for their preferences or needs or if they want to receive your email and if you just want to fool your readers, then that's spamming.

There is this fine line that separate marketing from obvious spamming. If we are still living in the early 2000's then this might be a problem but we aren't. Even premium e-mail services now provide features to protect your inbox from being flooded by unwanted e-mails. In the end, you are the boss and has the power to decide to call an e-mail a spam or some effective marketing method.

Email marketing is becoming more popular today. I think it is really useful for many businessmen who deal with online businesses or networking. In the same manner, you can encourage many potential clients from other countries by just acquiring their email address.

Well just be cautious enough with the spam because it might mess up the transaction online.

Anyway, I am pleased with the modern technology and make use of email marketing.

I get a lot of spam mails everything about stuff that companies sell and most of them are too good to be true. Some even ask me to avail of a certain product for guys, which is irrelevant to me because I'm a girl. These are clearly spam marketing mails. I wonder how many of them get to sell to their random recipients. They should be reported to their web host to prevent them from doing this.

I believe that the definition of spam is unsolicited or unexpected mail. Therefore, all email marketing is spam, as unless you subscribed to a site to receive its newsletters, you didn't ask for all that mail. Even if a recipient ends up purchasing something that was presented through "email marketing" it is still an invasion of privacy. All the same, each individual can protect himself from this, at worst, simply annoying element of life.

A lot of eager sales people and sales companies are unwittingly making themselves very unpopular online and sometimes even losing their sales accounts online because of sales marketing turned spam. I know that success in sales is partly based on how many people you can expose to your product, but I think that people are sick and tired of having their homes invaded by all the multitude of products out there.

Thanks the internet gods for inventing SPAM detection system. E-mail providers have implemented these SPAM filters quite well but back in early 2000 SPAMs can be once worst nightmare especially as there tons of newsletters and phishing scams that can easily deceive users back then.

If I ever receive e-mails outside my interest or wasnot aware of subscribing to I just unsubscribe or block them. If there are a few SPAMs that reaches my inbox, I can just label them as SPAM.

Email marketing is now getting more popular as more businessmen make use of it. In fact, it is an easier way to promote a product and service to your potential customers. However, you have to be creative enough in making emails to send to your customers because at time it turns as a spam and the customers simply reject them for no reason at all. What are the other risks of email marketing?

Personally, I do not see any real purpose for spam messages--defined as Meg did in the previous comment, "an unsolicited e-mail". Do people actually read these messages? I have been getting spam e-mails since I first started using the internet, and I have never once even glanced at one of these messages, hardly even taking note of the titles, unless it is to make fun of how ridiculous they sound. So why DO people send out spam?

Nicki

Why bother yourself too much with those spam mails when you can just forget about them, just try to ignore or just delete them out of your inbox. Well, some spam mails were email marketing and those most of the time kills me. Like, I have to delete them, one by one and it takes much of my time doing so. And yes, it is funny how people still waste time sending such mails.

Email Marketing is obviously what a lot of online marketers are taking advantage of lately. They think that this is one of the best ways in order to get in touch with their client. As far as I know, this is one of the things that email users don't like. They hate spams, and I think that email marketing just don't work anymore. I think they better try something else.

Nicki, rather than deleting your spam mails one at a time, why don't you check with your email account if you have an automatic spam filter so that you can just send all suspicious or unknown emails to that folder and then just glance over them once in a while to make sure nothing went there by accident, then you can just empty the folder easily as often as you wish to clear your box.

Ellae what do you personally think about spam sent to email boxes, or what is your preference? I do not understand if you are an email marketer yourself defending your position or if you are also simply a recipient of spam emails and are defending from that viewpoint. I personally am not really bothered by spam, cause I know how to click delete, only when they really get too numerous.
